PAULO EDUARDO MEDINA (DELICIAS 1964)

A painter since childhood, he has found in this art form an ideal way to express his own perception of life and the world.

With a rich multicultural experience, after completing high school in 1982, he traveled to the United States for a year to perfect his English. It was there that he reaffirmed his interest in painting through his participation in school competitions.

Upon his return, he entered the Archdiocesan Seminary of Chihuahua, and after eight years, he was ordained a priest on June 5 of this year.

His philosophical, theological, and humanistic training has cemented profound logical, ethical, and aesthetic values, which have shaped his spirit, which has given him a keen appreciation for color, form, and texture.

Painting, therefore, is not just giving shape to a material, but a holistic exercise, in which truth, goodness, and beauty are the nouns with which he proposes to describe his work, and thus his spirit, his life of service to others.

In this first exhibition, Paulo demonstrates the spontaneity and boldness of a beginner, but also the maturity of someone who takes things seriously. Thus, a space for proposals opens up, a message that challenges, a perpetual commitment to growth, as he himself affirms.

“When I paint, I feel like I become more of a person, more committed to beauty and goodness. What I experience always surpasses what I can express in words, which is why I paint.”

He currently exercises his priestly ministry as Vicar Cooperator of the parish of San Marcos in Saucillo, Chihuahua.
