About the exhibition

Light and Faith: Bible Stories in Ink and Water

The exhibition "Light and Faith: Biblical Stories in Ink and Water" is presented on the occasion of Thomistic Week at the Archdiocesan Seminary of Chihuahua, a celebration honoring the life and thought of Saint Thomas Aquinas. On this occasion, we have the privilege of appreciating a series of 20 watercolors created by diocesan priest Paulo Medina, who has dedicated his artistic talent to narrating the richness of biblical stories through the delicacy and depth of water and ink.

Each work is an invitation to contemplate and reflect on the faith, light, and spirituality that emanate from the Sacred Scriptures. Paulo Medina's watercolors are not only a visual representation, but also a testimony to the encounter between art and spirituality, where each stroke and color come to life, illuminating the message of love and hope that the Bible offers us.

In the words of Pope Francis, “Art is a means that allows people to enter into the beauty of the world and thus discover the beauty of God.” This exhibition stands as a bridge that connects us to that beauty, inviting us to rediscover the stories that have guided humanity throughout the centuries.

We invite you to immerse yourself in this visual and spiritual experience, and to allow yourself to be touched by the light and faith that shine in each of these works. May the contemplation of these watercolors enrich your journey of faith and inspire you to see the world through the eyes of hope.
