50 Dreams for Half a Century

The gaze casts a spell over time: it is capable of articulating color to transform it into a sign, of emancipating the stroke to transform it into a community, depositing form as a coordinate of dialogue, and then precipitating itself upon a painting, where ideas, feelings, and emotions overflow.

The origin of dreams is anchored in the pupil of human beings; from dreams, the world takes on another form, and one's neighbor is capable of recognizing oneself in the gaze of another. The time of dreams is situated in the geography of the university; the history of our Alma Mater, on its half-century anniversary, gathers the highest artistic expressions of the community. This exhibition presents a sample of the scope of dreams and how they combine in inseparable pairings: art and history, humanism and knowledge.
